Dr. Emily Shelton is an Eastern Kentucky native and proud alumni of both Morehead State University and the Kentucky College of Optometry at the University of Pikeville. She completed her clinical externships at SWOEC in Orlando, Florida; the Dr. Jerald F. Combs Eye Clinic in Pikeville, Kentucky; and Draisin Vision Group in Charleston, South Carolina. Her training included primary care, specialty contact lenses, ocular disease management, low vision rehabilitation, vision therapy, pediatrics, and office-based procedures. She has successfully passed all board examinations required for licensure.

Dr. Shelton is excited to continue her career close to home, providing compassionate, high-quality eye care to the people of the Appalachian mountains who helped shape her into the person she is today.

Outside the office, Dr. Shelton enjoys traveling with her fiancé, making memories with her friends and family, attending church, and snuggling with her fur baby.
